Great thread here! Thanks guys, for the detailed answer concerning the glue-removing!
I agree with Robert about changing the caps (I am doing the same in my Marantzes, because I have seen too many caps failing), but of course, I also understand Armins point of view.
It's just a feeling, I am no technician and I cannot judge it. But I did not regret having the caps changed so far.
Have a good vacation, Robert!

Although it's very hot here, to proceed with the work
It is a time for cleaning the switches.
Cleaning sprays are used by many, but the best way is to take them apart
one of the small switches is out
![[Bild: sw1.jpg]](http://i837.photobucket.com/albums/zz292/pepa131/Ca-3000/sw1.jpg)
quite dirty
![[Bild: sw5.jpg]](http://i837.photobucket.com/albums/zz292/pepa131/Ca-3000/sw5.jpg)
and one of the big guy
![[Bild: sw10.jpg]](http://i837.photobucket.com/albums/zz292/pepa131/Ca-3000/sw10.jpg)
some will say it is clean

Oh, I like Marantz, but I like Sansui and others, too!
Thank you for the pics, Robert. Now I know, how the unit looks from outside!
