Last year I promised you a story about these speakers.
Therefore, the only ad that I saw in Croatia (last year),the price was reasonable and I immediately jumped on it.
I've heard good things about , but never saw them in person. Vendor said that one tweeter is out...burnt.
Cosmetics is not the best, some scratches here and there ...but who care.
Due my chronic lack of free time , speakers remained in the basement for more than a year!!! Finally the time has come to see and hear what I bought.
These are variations of model I am talking about:
Here are a brochure:
view at the box structure:
he said:"burned tweeter"....ok,let's see
wow...1,5 kg
TW is fastened to a metal casting (which is fixed to the upper plate) inside the box. This means there is no solid contact with the front panel..... very advanced for the 80’s (same with the woofer...no contact with front the panel... secured to the central struts)
disassembling of TW
rubber ring is hiding screws
When I pulled the coil out of the magnet,I immediately noticed a fault...repair was an easy,a wire was broken between the coil and connector(as usual).
Somehow I lost that pictures,so I borrowed couple similar from the web
