Hello fans of retro hi-fi equipment,
I have a DENON DRM-800A cassette deck that has been acting capriciously for a short time: when inserting a cassette other than Normal, the automatic tape selector obstinately displays type I whereas it should display type II for CrO2 cassette or type IV for Metal cassette.
According to the user manual, the automatic band selector is an integral part of the 17-pin CN191 connector which also manages the DOLBY and other specifications such as REC MUTE, CD DIRECT or MONITOR that work perfectly (for now).
Does anyone know how to correct this defect on the DENON DRM-800A cassette deck?
Note: If needed, I can forward the user manual in English for this turntable
PS. I write in this forum as a French person with little mastery of the German language.
