Interesting way to replace TO-3 by TO-220 Transistors. The connection of the center leg looks rather unreliable to me and already broken on the outer right transistor? The guys at good-old-hifi might still have a higher resolution version available for their picture on the first page of this thread, so one can read what type of transistor was originally installed. Comparing the pictures, it seems the original thermal coupling components have been removed/relocated as well during the bodge repair.

My dear, without at least a schematic at hand I'd consider it as a write-off. Even with some hi-res pics available from good old hifi it will probably need a skilled expert to fix it.
