Interesting way to replace TO-3 by TO-220 Transistors. Denker The connection of the center leg looks rather unreliable to me and already broken on the outer right transistor? The guys at good-old-hifi might still have a higher resolution version available for their picture on the first page of this thread, so one can read what type of transistor was originally installed. Try contacting them here: good-old-hifi contact page

Comparing the pictures, it seems the original thermal coupling components have been removed/relocated as well during the bodge repair.

its my first amp iam not really a expert at all very basic knowledge, but it looks like a hack job from the 80's or so
i live in the netherlands, if any one can help me fix, wil contact the guys at good old hifi for some more info
it turns on but no sound on both channels ,first amp no luck  Dash1
My dear, without at least a schematic at hand I'd consider it as a write-off. Even with some hi-res pics available from good old hifi it will probably need a skilled expert to fix it.
found some one in the netherlands he says he has a schematic ,he wil contact me tomorrow ,if i get it wil post it here Smile
