Hi at all,

i have this variac in perfectly working condition,
but when i try to power on, the variac genereated a little hum noise.

It's normal?
Or it's ready to broken?

Hi Libra,

every variac generates a little noise, but normally it´s really not loud.
Did you checked all srews of the fastening of the transformer and the case?
In this old thread the owner had an other prob. with this variac.
May be he can report here about the noise of his RT.

yes. the hum noise it's really low and percetible.
No, i not have checked the screw of the transformer.
