I'm a dat lover since 1993. My first was a dtc 59es. It worked flawlessly till 2010. Problems with reels that never were solved due to lack of spare parts. Bought a 690 from ebay to get it's reels but it was worse than mine. Some time later a bought a dyc 60es , that seemed good. It started giving me troubles with recording. some time in 2013 I grabed a dtc za5es. Behaves absolte fine, except one thing, the Austrian guy had it packed in an awful box with newspapers on the sides. As a result it got through around and arrived with a dent on the side , the door misaligned , and the motor that operates the door and it's base turned 90 degrees to the left. I fixed it. It is my main dat till now that I found a dtc 2000es on yahoo.jp . Almost flawless. I bought it and waiting for it to arrive. In the meantime I have to change the head drum on the dtc 60es. Last night I saw I excellent dtc 77es in a friends house that he wants to trade for my sansui au-x911dg. No way.
Anyway I thought I should inform you guys about my dat history.
