Japaner machen wirklich immer irgendwelchen abgefahrenen Kram, wenn’s um Slugde/Grindcore geht!

The band will deliver everything that fans would expect of Downing and his ability to deliver up everything that is Priest including newly written metal masterpieces.

Last summer K.K Downing made his first public appearance in almost 10 years, performing classic Judas Priest cuts at the Bloodstock Open Air Festival in the U.K. In November K.K Downing called on Tim “Ripper” Owens and Les Binks for a surprise, one-off performance, featuring Hostile’s A.J. Mills on guitar and David Ellefson from Megadeth on bass. The band performed a blistering set of classic Judas Priest songs as well as deep album cuts that have never been performed live. With an overwhelming response and the instant chemistry Downing, Owens and Binks shared on stage, KK’s PRIEST was born.
K.K Downing’s genre-defining guitar style helped establish Judas Priest‘s iconic sound and helped propelled them to one of the top Heavy Metal bands of all-time, earning numerous accolades including a GRAMMY® in 2010 for “Best Metal Performance,” a total of five GRAMMY® nominations and multi-platinum and gold releases.

Muss das wirklich sein

Was genau spricht denn aus Deiner Sicht dagegen, Jörg?

Nur weil KK mault, dass er bei Judas Priest nicht mehr dabei sein darf, muss man doch nciht gleich eine ähnlich gelagerte Band gründen. Der Band/Projektname macht ja sicherlich deutlich, wohin die musikalische Reise gehen wird. Vielleicht kommen tolle Songs dabei rum. Okay! Aber das Original braucht imho keine "Coverband" mit ehemaligen Band Member. Außerdem war der Ripper bei Priest also Judas Priest Scheiße...

Was die Coverversionen betrifft: das macht wohl jeder Musiker, der in einer erfolgreichen Band war, danach mit seinem ersten neuen Projekt.

Und was ähnlich gelagerte Bands angeht, gibt es ebenfalls passende Beispiele: als Hansen die Kürbisse verließ, bewegte er sich für mein Empfinden danach nicht unbedingt in komplett anderen musikalischen Dimensionen.

Kai taufte seine neue Band aber auf Gamma Ray (obwohl der ursprüngliche Relaise noch KAI HANSEN war) und das sie ähnlich klingen wie Heloween war trotzdem klar. Hansen war zu mindestens 50% Helloween...

Hach, was ein cooler Track, danke dafür.

Tim Bakers Stimme und Art zu singen passt perfekt zu dieser Musik, finde ich.

Andere Länder anderer Metal.

Ungewöhnlicher Madman-Track vom neuen Album...




Konventionellerer Song, aber auch hier gibt es "andere" Sounds und Rhythmiken.

Wenn Du Sachen wie "The HU" magst, lohnt sich zukünftig vielleicht hin und wieder ein Blick in den Folk-Faden. Der ist ja noch neu...

Nen bissl moderner Post-Metal Kram aus Australien 



 

Klingt interessant - von minimalistisch-reduziert bis infernalisch-krawallig.

Der Sound wirkt ziemlich organisch-natürlich. Macht neugierig.

Der Name meiner Lieblingsband aus Down Under beginnt mit "A"...

Nein, die Wechselspannung/Gleichspannung-Jungs sind es nicht - und auch nicht Angel City.

Progressive/Melodic Death Metal aus Portland, Oregon

Der Song bietet allerdings mehr Melodic Death Metal als Prog.

Insbesondere die Growls werden Proggies eher abschrecken, auch wenn die Sängerin im laufe des Titels Klargesang präsentiert

Finde ich cool - besonders die Rhythmik am Anfang.
